Overview
Marieke engaged Agency Mae to design and deploy a modern, on-brand SharePoint Employee Portal that would serve as the digital headquarters for its fully remote workforce. The goal was to bring structure and visibility to internal operations, empower staff with easy access to essential resources, and streamline the way
credentials, skills, and policy acknowledgments were tracked across the organization. A central component of the solution was the development of a dynamic, real-time Skills & Certifications Matrix—a Microsoft 365–integrated tool for collecting, reviewing, and reporting on the team’s professional qualifications and compliance status.

Design & Strategy Approach
Agency Mae approached the build with a focus on clarity, cohesion, and maintainability. We conducted workflow reviews and mapped key employee touchpoints to prioritize usability for both staff and leadership.

Information Architecture: Site navigation was structured around what employees need most: onboarding references, team directories, credential forms, policies, and points of contact.

Skills Matrix: Built as a filterable Microsoft List, the Skills & Certifications Matrix allows staff to submit their credentials through a structured Microsoft Form. Submissions include issuing body, acronym, expiration dates, and file uploads—organized for both compliance and analytics.

Visual Consistency: The portal applies Marieke’s core brand identity—Trajan Pro and Avenir typefaces, deep navy (#081E31) and gold (#E9D41D) accents, and logo lockups—to all design components.

HR Workflows: Emergency contact forms, certification intake, and other HR data are collected via integrated Microsoft Forms and routed directly to secure SharePoint Lists.

Social + Brand Integration: The homepage features a live LinkedIn company feed alongside a visual swag gallery and downloadable brand assets for internal use.

Scalable Design System: The entire site is modular, with clearly defined sections that can evolve as the company adds new teams, services, or internal systems.
